Who We Are

Our History

Hand in Hand Special Needs School is more than just an educational institution; it is a sanctuary of learning, healing, and growth. Established on February 18, 2003, by a dedicated team of Norwegian friends and local visionaries, our school was born from a powerful vision: to provide children with Special Education Needs access to quality education, vital life skills, and a community that accepts them fully.

Our History
Our Organization

Organizational Structure

Our strength lies in our robust organizational structure and our unwavering commitment to transparency. Guided by an advisory Board in Norway that drives fundraising and strategy, and led locally by our committed Board of Trustees (SNE Board) in Uganda, we ensure that every decision we make puts the child first.

At the heart of our operations is a passionate management team, including our Head Teacher, Livelihood Projects Coordinator, and Health Officers. Together, we work tirelessly under the Director to deliver holistic care, education, and hope to hundreds of families.
