Inclusive Agriculture in Action at MHIHU

At Mukono Hand in Hand Uganda (MHIHU), we believe in nurturing not only the minds but also the practical skills of our learners. As part of our commitment to holistic education, children are being introduced to sustainable agricultural practices through the Empowering Inclusive Agriculture for Healthy Lives (EIAHL) project, generously funded by the Rights Now Foundation.
Recently, pupils took part in activities such as school garden care, planting, and managing birds, all under the guidance of their teachers. These initiatives aim to build self-reliance, promote food security, and empower learners with hands-on knowledge they can carry into their communities.
The project is particularly significant because it is inclusive by design—ensuring that children with special needs participate fully and equally in the training. This reflects MHIHU’s mission to provide equal opportunities while equipping every learner with skills that go beyond the classroom.
We are grateful to the Rights Now Foundation for making this possible and to the dedicated staff and learners whose efforts keep the gardens thriving. With such initiatives, we are shaping a future where education and sustainability walk hand in hand.
Call to Action
We invite partners, sponsors, and well-wishers to join us in expanding such life-changing programs. Together, we can provide more children with inclusive opportunities that prepare them for a brighter, self-sufficient future.
