HIHU has an advisory Board based in Norway. The HIHU Board is involved in fundraising and giving strategic direction oversight to the Board of Trustees which is commonly referred to as SNE Board based in Uganda. The SNE Board oversees the overall leadership and governance of HAND in HAND operations in Uganda.
HIHU is headed by a director who reports to the SNE Board. The Director is in charge of providing oversight over the running activities at the Centre. The Director works with a team of heads of departments i.e. The Head Teacher in charge of the special need education school, Livelihood Projects Coordinator and the Health office in charge of WASH programs. This constitutes the management team.
HIHU’s sectoral interventions are all interlinked in such a way that they are all critical for the quest for general improvement in livelihoods.
