A Memorable Visit: August 1st at Mukono HIHU

On Friday, August 1st, Mukono Hand in Hand Uganda (HIHU) was alive with excitement, song, and celebration as the school’s founder, Mr. Age, and his daughter joined the children and staff for a special visit. It was a day that beautifully captured the spirit and mission of HIHU ; bringing hope, inclusion, and opportunity to children with disabilities.

The entire school community gathered to welcome the special guests, and the atmosphere was full of joy. Pupils showcased their talents through music, dance, and drama performances, leaving everyone smiling and inspired. The teachers also joined in, creating a truly vibrant and united presentation of what HIHU is all about.

The visit included a tour around the school to see ongoing and completed projects. From classrooms to vocational training spaces, the guests were able to witness firsthand the incredible progress the school has made ; thanks to the support of dedicated donors and partners.

The presence of the founder and his daughter reignited the passion within the team and reminded everyone of the mission: to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for every child.

We are grateful to Mr. Age, his daughter , and all friends of HIHU who continue to walk this journey with us. Together, we are changing lives.
